The D&H station at Cobleskill. The D&H stopped offering passenger service over 50 years ago; the station now serves as a restaurant.

    [station]

The track side of the Cobleskill station. The only track left is the main line that runs from Binghamton to Albany.

    [station]

View from the vicinity of the freight station, looking East. There evidently was a small yard here at one point, as the double bridge and pile of old ties indicate.

    [coal]

Coal storage in the background; in the foreground is a small bridge that crosses a stream. Next to it, and higher, is the main line.

    [coal]

Many railroads got into the coal business, and the D&H was no exception. At the turn of the century, oil heat was rare; most homes were heated with coal or wood.

The D&H moniker still remains on the freight station building.

    Oneonta

    [station]

The D&H yard in Oneonta, NY circa 1885. Visible are the original roundhouse (left) and a second (right) added in 1882. A third roundhouse was later constructed in the middle background in 1902, designed to replace these two, at the time the biggest ever constructed in the world.

    [station]

The D&H Shops, Oneonta, NY circa 1920. Here cars were built, painted and maintained. Most of these structures still stand.

    [station]

The D&H yard tower in Oneonta, NY 1989. The Shop is visible in the background. This structure was later disassembled, and is currently at Cooperstown Junction (in pieces.) It is owned by the Leatherstocking Railway Historical Society

    Sidney

    [station]
The NYO&W and Delaware & Hudson had a long history of co-operation at Sidney, NY. This included sharing a single passenger station within the village. This is the D&H side of the original wooden station. It was later replaced by a brick station; both are now gone.

Thanks to Jim Faliveno (jim@monu-cad.com) for the pictures of the Cherry Valley depot. These are "...two pictures... of the CV D&H station, now the CV Fire Dept on Railroad St. in Cherry Valley. The coal shute and roundtable were located behind the station....all are now gone."
